Hi! My name is Daysja, and I am an LMHC master's intern with experience working with individuals, children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings, including in-home therapy, residential programs, and community-based mental health services. I have supported clients navigating family conflict, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, substance use, and life transitions. I also have experience working with individuals with disabilities and understand the importance of providing care that is patient, supportive, and individualized. As a bilingual person, I value creating spaces where individuals from different backgrounds feel understood, supported, and comfortable being themselves.

My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strength-based. I believe in meeting people where they are and creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. I value building strong therapeutic relationships while helping clients develop healthy coping skills, increase self-awareness, and work toward meaningful growth and healing. One quote I live by is, "You grow through what you go through," which reflects my belief that healing and growth can come even through difficult experiences.

Fun fact: People call me "Ducky" because I love ducks, and I also have a polydactyl cat with extra toes.
